On Sunday 4th June, Halifax Panthers development squad played their 3rd game of 2023. They were up against a new team from Sheffield (which was developed this year on the back of all the TV exposure from the world cup in 2022).
The Halifax team was made up entirely of ‘rookies ‘, except for triple amputee, Andy Atkinson. He used his experience to guide the team around the pitch, helping them gain an impressive 48-4 win. the ‘fax scorers were as follows:
Julio Hernendes – 14 Points (3 Tries, 1 conversion )
Joe Calcott – 4 Points (2 conversion)
Jack Stockton – 8 Points (2 Tries)
Mohammed Rakhman – 8 Points (2 Tries)
Andy Atkinson – 14 Points (3 Tries, 1 conversion)
Their next game is at the Inspire Sports Centre, Calderdale College on June 18th, when we will be taking on York, another new team. kick off will be at 2.30pm. Why not come along, it’s free to watch.
